Good Morning Reno!

Hello dears!
It has been super cold here the last few days.
But the sunshine has been amazing.
So I nearly froze...but I wanted to share some photos with you.
I love the wide open spaces we have here.
We just have six acres, but you can see for miles.
The kittys love to follow me around and play on the rocks.
I am so ready to enjoy the lake and swim again!
I think if you look really closely you might see a little green in the grass.
A few of the roses are showing a bit of growth.
I am hoping in about 2 weeks we finally will be over this cold.
It has been hard on this gardener to be cooped up inside.
I have a few bulbs barely popping thru the soil.
Hopefully the garden is as ready as I am to get busy and bloom!
Thanks so much for stopping by and God Bless...

A Room I Have Never Shown You... Until Now

After over 750 posts, it's hard to believe I have not shown you everything.
But I don't think I have ever shown you the loft!
Mostly I think it is because it is my craft room.
(And there is usually a mess project I am working on.)
And as you can see, little sister is working on a puzzle at the table.
But the light was pretty this afternoon.
So I took a few pictures.
This was to be the fourth bedroom, but we kept it open.
But we left the closets for storage.
(Fabric, lace, beads, etc!)
It has a great view of the lake.
And south facing windows for my plants.
But most important... my sewing machine.
Which has been getting a good workout making pillows this week!

Thanks so much for stopping by....Brooke

Master Bedroom Decorated For Easter in Vintage Style

Hello my dears...
Wanted to share with you some pretties in the Master Bedroom this week.
It's all ready for Easter and Spring.

I want to thank the editors and followers of Romantic Homes Magazine for so many comments and lovely notes on my last post from my holiday decor in this room.

It has been one of my most popular posts of all time on my site.
You can view it here...

You have no idea how much that means to me.
I simple adore your site and magazine and am honored beyond measure.

So... take a look around and enjoy!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Today I Chose To Be Happy...

 Good Morning Dears....
Yes, I -CHOOSE- for this to be a Good Morning.

This has been such a long, troubling winter.
It just seems everyone is on their last nerve.
And it seems there are so many problems in the World.
My heart just goes out to so many.

So today I will choose to be happy.
Today I  going to be thankful.
For a beautiful sunrise...
For a view I never tire of...
Especially with Miley and Reno in too.
To see beauty in the Winter landscape... not blah.
As long as I live I will never tire of this view.
Today I will choose to be positive.
To look forward to what is to come.
Not just Spring... but every day.
To look around and enjoy the little things.
Of course there are things I want, would like to change.
But all in time, today I am happy just like it is.
Like the blooms on the houseplants.
I love having an indoor winter garden.
Today I am happy to watch the geese and ducks land on the lake.
And the hear birds outside the windows.
I chose to be thankful for the comforts of home.
And for every blessing we share as a family.
Like good grades, swim season starting and just time as a family.
For my family and friends I love so much.
For our church, neighbors and all the friends we hold so dear.
For my parents that are enjoying winter in Florida.
For them coming home in about a month.
For all the things to come, I will be happy... and thankful.
For three silly cats, two spoiled dogs... and big, old honery horse.
For two beautiful girls and a hard working, stubborn husband.
That I love more than I could have ever dreamed.
Every one of them.
Today, I will be happy.
Today I will be blessed.
Today I will be thankful.
Today I will pray that you will be too.

"Take my life and let it be, a living prayer, my God to thee."
